Weekend Fun

This weekend will be a busy one for us.  Friday night is the my school's holiday party.  It is being hosted at the home of one of the teachers.  We are doing a white elephant exchange, BYOB, and sharing an appetizer.  I'll let the evening speak for itself!

On Saturday morning I travel to the Lake with Delta Kappa Gamma friends.  It is the annual Christmas luncheon.  It is the first one I have been able to attend.  I am excited to go!  In the afternoon I have tickets to go on the California Historical Homes Christmas Tour.  I am eager to see the homes on the tour.  I am hoping that Ashley can go but that still isn't a done deal.  In the evening Bob, Ashley, Eric and I have tickets to a play at the Stephens Warehouse.  I believe it is a Tennessee Williams play but I am not sure.  We will look at lights in the Columbia area before the play.

Sunday we will celebrate the second Sunday of Advent at church.  No plans until Sunday late afternoon, when I host our December Bunco event.  I am so excited!  I have a great menu planned and some fun new ideas to do to celebrate the holiday season.

The holiday season is underway!

  1. Sounds like a fun weekend, Terri. We are going to make a run to Hermann tomorrow for the Kristkindl Mrkt. Have never been to the market. Would love to go back next weekend to see the rectory. Have you seen the rectory at Hermann all done up for Christmas? I've only seen photos but it looks wonderful. The house tour here, is a week from Sunday. We aren't on it but one of our neighbors is.

  2. Sounds like fun, Terri. Have a wonderful time and enjoy every minute.

  3. A busy weekend lined up for sure! You'll need to get back to work Monday for some rest. This white elephant exchange sounds so intriguing...does that mean you each bring a gift from a white elephant store or does it mean that you're each giving something you already own and would have placed in a white elephant store? My family is still looking for ideas...

  4. Oh yes ... Season is upon us! Our Holiday Parade is tomorrow, Nutcracker too +++ so many concerts. First Friday Art Walk today ~ my grandson usually performs at one of the venues. He and two friends are "The Glass Mangos!"

  5. Sounds like your holiday season is off to a lovely start.

Comments are the new hugs!
