Peanut Butter and Chocolate Chip Hummus Spread #HummusMadeEasy


Of all the hummus dishes from #HummusMadeEasy, this one is the one that really stood out.  This hummus dish is a dessert and it was sooo goood.  This is the last of the recipes from the #HummusMadeEasy A Gathering of Friends event.  I hope you have enjoyed seeing how easy it is to make hummus using the Hummus Made Easy kit.  I'd love to hear from you if you make any of these recipes!

Peanut Butter and Chocolate Chip Dip

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Ingredients
  • 1 can garbanzo beans
  • 1 pkg Classic Hummus Made Easy kit
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 1/3 c Peanut butter
  • 3 T Oatmeal
  • ½ c Mini chocolate chips
  • 1 box Vanilla wafers
  • 1 T sugar
Instructions
Make hummus according to package directions. Stir in peanut butter and stir well. Add in all other ingredients except cookies. Stir. Refrigerate 10 minutes. Serve with vanilla wafers.

  3. I've made hummus, but never thought to make a sweet hummus. Makes sense I guess really as beans can be good as a dessert (black bean brownies anyone?). I think I'd add maple syrup rather than sugar though.

  16. Oh wow - what a great idea! Healthy and vegan, too - a lot of the dips use milk products so this is an awesome option to have on hand for guests that don't eat animal products.
