The chili is really good. I'll be honest, I thought that all those canned goods would make the chili too salty or too tomatoey. It didn't do that at all. It is a wonderful blend of beef, tomatoes and beans with an occasional sweet zip of corn
.
I cook it over the stove and serve it the second day. You can easily make this chili in the crock pot and get a nice deep flavor. I like to serve it with corn muffins. If you haven't crumbled a corn muffin in your chili yet, do it. Delicious and no need for saltines.

ReplyDeleteI love a good bowl of chili, especially now that the weather is getting cooler here in Wisconsin. I have never had with cornbread though. We usually eat ours with sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese and saltines.
