5 Great Ideas for a Romantic Getaway to Miami

Miami is a world famous party hotspot packed full of bars and nightclubs that attract revelers from around the globe. When you’re planning a romantic getaway, Miami probably isn’t top of your list, but there’s plenty more to do there than just partying and relaxing on the beach. It’s actually a great place for couples to visit and there are lots of different things that you can do together. These are some of the best ideas for a romantic trip to Miami.

Horse Riding

When you get a bit further out from the coast, Miami has a lot of scenic rural areas to explore. One of the best ways to do it is to take a ride on horseback. In the southwest area of Kendall, away from the urban center of Miami, you’ll find a few ranches where you can go and take a horse out for the day. It’s a very romantic way to explore this underrated area of Miami that most people never even see.

Take A Boat Trip

The coastline in Miami is very picturesque and there are some great views. Getting out on the water is ideal for a romantic day out in Miami. You can rent a boat at boat.me for a reasonable price and take it out for the day. You might decide that you just want to take it out into the water for a while and relax on deck or you could explore some of the surrounding islands. A lot of people like to take a day trip to Key West and have a look around the island city there, where you can try your hand at snorkeling and see some amazing marine life as well.

Vizcaya Museum And Gardens

The Vizcaya Museum and Gardens is a beautiful Mediterranean style mansion that is a world away from the bustling nightclubs that you expect to find in Miami. You can take a tour around the inside of the mansion and take in the impressive architecture before heading outside to take a romantic walk around the gardens.

Soundscape Park

If you’re looking for budget ideas for a romantic day out in Miami, the Soundscape Park is ideal. This new outdoor space at the New World Center Campus is the home of the New World Symphony. They give regular performances for free to the public and sometimes they screen films out there as well. It’s a great place to grab a blanket and a picnic for a cheap romantic evening.

Take A Walk On The Beach

South Beach is the party hotspot in Miami and it’s not the best place to take a romantic stroll, but there are plenty of other beaches around that are a bit quieter. The oceanfront boardwalk at Indian Beach Park is ideal for couples, and you’re not far from the Art Deco Historic district where you can take in some of the classic architecture.

Miami might not be top of your list of romantic destinations, but there are plenty of great activities for couples.
