Cupid Crunch #FoodBloggerLove

For where we are in our married life, we are so happy to celebrate Valentine's Day at home, with a fabulous dinner (usually cooked by my husband) and curl up on the sofa and watch a romantic movie.  Valentine's Day doesn't have to be roses, chocolate and expensive.  Well, maybe it does have to have SOME chocolate in it.

Cupid Crunch valentine trail mix

Enter our movie snack:
It is a type of trail mix snack, made a little more decadent with a high quality white chocolate and holiday M & Ms.  It is a perfect combination snack/dessert and goes very well with the Hallmark Channel Valentine movies.  In case you wondered.

Cupid Crunch valentine trail mix

1 box Chocolate Chex cereal
1 bag red and pink M & M candies
1 bag of kettle type popcorn
1 bag of white chocolate chips
1 cup dry roasted peanuts

Cover a cookie sheet with parchment paper.  Spread the box of Chocolate Chex over the entire cookie sheet.  Sprinkle the M & Ms over the chocolate chex, then the popcorn, and then the peanuts.  Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave for 30 seconds.  Remove, stir, and heat for an additional 30 seconds.  Repeat until chips are melted.  Drizzle white chocolate over the contents of the cookie sheet, shaking the pan gently so that the chocolate gets on much of the ingredients.  Cool, then break into bite sized pieces.  Store in an airtight container.
