Homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte #tastecreations

Welcome to the month of pumpkins! Someday I want to grow my own pumpkin.  Maybe that will be on my list for next year!  For now, I want to share with you my delicious Pumpkin Spice Latte.

I am not typically a coffee drinker.  I really wanted to try the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte and so I bought one.  Blech.  NOT for a non-coffee drinker.  Even though I knew I didn't like them, I wanted to like them so much!

Ever had a feeling like that?

I analyzed what  I didn't like about it. I love heavy cream, pumpkin, pumpkin pie spice.  That leaves the coffee.  I thought a lot what I could do about the coffee flavor.  I tried replacing it with chai tea.  While that was delicious, it wasn't the taste I was looking for.  I tried black tea, sassafras tea anything I could think of to replace the bitterness of the coffee.  Then I had a great idea.

I would make weak coffee.

I took a pod of blonde roast coffee and made it with 12 oz of hot water.  I added my ingredients and blended them together and yes mam! there it was!  The Pumpkin Spice Latte that even a coffee hater would love.  Give it a try!

Homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte

1 pod Blonde Roast coffee, brewed with 12 oz.
2 T pumpkin puree
1 T pumpkin pie spice
2 T heavy cream
1 T butter

Place all ingredients into blender.  Blend at high speed until foamy.  Pour into a 20oz cup or container.  Foam will increase the volume.  Sprinkle with pumpkin pie spice.

You may be tempted to leave out the butter.  DON'T.  The butter adds a richness to the drink that is important with the pumpkin.  Trust. me.

Enjoy these new creations by our team!
