This is what I try to do most mornings:

Wake up to soft or natural lighting.  I particularly like this light from Amazon.  I can actually sleep with it on the dimmest setting.  You can also open your curtains as soon as you wake up or turn on your bedside lamp (I use fairy lights in a jar, too!)

Sip something warm. Tea, coffee, lemon water, whatever makes you feel good!  I love mugs, so I have a nice collection to choose from, which is another morning routine I do!

I journal, mostly about gratitude, but I sometimes do a brain dump of things I need to do, set goals or record dreams.

I read everyday, usually all day long in some capacity, but I reserve my uplifting works for the morning. I like to read poetry, or special accounts on Substack.  Sometimes I will ponder a particular quote.

I do set up a cozy atmosphere before going to bed.  I get my candle ready, a soft blanket and sometimes play soft music or nature sounds.

My morninig routine involves caring for the skin on my face, I set out to do it with a soft cloth, and products that I love.  I make my bed carefully, getting out all the wrinkles and setting the pillows just so.  

I take time to paint, even if it is just adding some details or by starting a new piece.  I never worry about finishing it all in one setting.  Sometimes my brush takes me places I didn't want to go, but in the long run, something beautiful will emerge!

I like to go barefoot in my small backyard.  I water the front porch plants, feed the birds, and look for new blossoms.  My cutting garden brings me great joy.  I will often cut a few stems to bring into the house.

I believe a bit of movement is good, too, and I love doing tai chi. My favorite online instructor is Leia at Taiflow.  She is on YouTube and has a few free videos that I like to follow.
