Vodka Splash #SundaySupper

When gathering at the pool for those summer pool parties, here is a cocktail that will have your guests clamoring for more!  What could be more refreshing than mint and limeade?  Oh, I know, adding a splash of icy cold vodka!

To make a splash at your outdoor bash, make a pitcher of this great drink to have on hand at a moment's notice.  It keeps nicely in the refrigerator!

Vodka Splash

8-10 6" long mint springs (I prefer spearmint over peppermint)
1 gallon of water

Wash the mint. Bruise the leaves of the mint.  Place in water and steep overnight.  Strain out the mint. Store in the refrigerator.

1 can frozen limeade or lemonade
3 limes
the mint water above
4 shots of vodka

Make the limeade using the package directions replacing the tap water with the mint water.  Slice the limes and place in the pitcher.  Stir in the vodka, taste, adjust according to taste.

Pour into short glasses over crushed ice.  Garnish with mint.
