The Best Places To See Nature In All Its Glory

The world is a beautiful place, with vast opportunities to see nature in all its glory.  Here are some of my favorites!  (Updated with all new photos on May 29, 2022)

Australia

Because of its sheer size, Australia is always going to be a major consideration when it comes to finding somewhere naturally beautiful to visit and roam around. There is just so much going on when it comes to the Australian natural scenery that you will hardly know where to begin, and anywhere you end up is bound to be incredible for its completely varied and stunning wildlife. There are, however, a few key spots you might want to think about, some of which you should already be aware of and which you might even have on your own bucket list somewhere. Some of these sights are truly incredible.

Uluru, for instance, is one of the most amazing natural sights that there are in the world. Essentially it is just a massive slab of stone, but in terms of the experience of seeing it, it is so much more than that. It sits at the very heart of the center of Australia, and if you climb up if you can see some pretty amazing views all over Australia in every direction. You will want to make a day trip of it, and maybe stay in a nearby town so that you can get out of the heat at night - but throughout the day, you will get the chance to see some amazing sights and even some unique animals too.

Australia is certainly known for its diversity of animals, and for having some of the most interesting on the planet too. If you want to see as much of this diversity as possible, one of the things you must do is to go visit Australia Zoo in Queensland. This is the zoo that used to be owned by Steve Irwin, and is still run by his family, and it is arguably the world’s best conservation zoo. You can see here not only all of the traditional Australian highlights - koalas, kangaroos and so on - but also many animals from every part of the globe. It’s something that you must do if you are visiting Australia at any point in your life.

Finally, if you do visit Australia you must make sure to see what is arguably its greatest natural wonder of all: the Great Barrier Reef. This is the world’s largest coral reef, and it is truly a sight to behold. If you are confident in the water, you can go diving to see it in all of its wonders, and it’s the kind of sight you are unlikely to forget in a hurry. As you can see, Australia has so much on offer that you would be forgiven for wanting to return again and again. But where else in the world is a great site for such natural splendor.

USA

Partly because of its size and diversity, the USA is always going to be a top choice for a destination when you are looking for some varied natural sights. There are all kinds of terrain in the US, and for that reason, there are also all kinds of animals and many different natural sights that you can see. Whatever kind of nature it might be that you are keen on experiencing, you can be sure that the US has it in droves, so let’s take a look now at some of the best parts of the US for seeing nature in all of its glory.

First up, you simply have to think about visiting the beautiful national park of Yellowstone. This famous park is a huge, sprawling space full of a massive variety of animals, flora, and fauna, and it is the kind of place you can easily stay in for a week without getting bored. Arguably the best way to do so is to camp, but if you do that you will need to stay within the safe camping areas, as otherwise, you might find yourself in some danger. If you want to see some wildlife, the best way to do so is to take a tour. You’ll find that touring wildlife in Yellowstone National Park is a great experience and the kind that you will never forget. You will have the chance to see all sorts of animals from elk to the bald eagle, and chances are you'll come away with a few great photographs of each. It’s a real treasure trove of animals.

But it’s not just Yellowstone which has beautiful nature in the USA. if you want to really just get away from it all and spend some time out in the middle of nowhere, then there are plenty of US destinations where you can do that too. If you go to the sunny state of California, you will find plenty of rolling hills and amazing beaches which can be perfect for just relaxing and enjoying the natural scenery. In truth, whatever part of America you go to, you will be able to see some of the world’s most amazing nature, so this is certainly something you will want to consider if that is what you are going for.

Nepal

For a completely different kind of natural vista, you might want to think about Asia, and in particular the foothills of Nepal. This is known to be a highly spiritual area, and in fact, it is where the Buddha was born - but whatever else it might offer you, it is just one of the most naturally enriched and beautiful places that you are ever going to see. The Annapurnas are in the foothills of the Himalayas, and they are a beautiful place to go trekking with a group of like-minded people. You might be amazed at what kinds of things you can see and some of the animals that you are likely to come across, and it is something that you will find to be especially incredible and breathtaking. You can go with a group and camp under the stars, and see some of the most amazing sights you have ever seen. It truly is an experience you will never forget.

Scotland

Finally, a word on Scotland. If you have never visited Scotland before, you might have an image in mind of a beautiful natural place, and you would be right - but it is never quite what people tend to think it will be. If you visit the highlands, you can expect to see some pretty amazing beautiful natural sights, and in particular some incredible misty views. Going in the autumn time is arguably the best, or even winter when you can hope to see some snow and ice. But at any time of year, you will also be able to come into contact with some of the most amazing animals in the world - and for that, it’s worth doing.

So where do you think it is the most beautiful in the world? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

It was such a bummer. But hey, there will be other travel opportunities in the future I am sure. Also, not sure if you know this but - I am from Jackson WY! :)
