Hawaiian Hot Dogs

My family went to Hawaii over the Thanksgiving holiday in 2015. We loved the flavors of the island and often duplicate them here at home.  This hot dog was born to bring back memories of Hawaii through our favorite summer food:  hot dogs!

This trip inspired two (and this is the third) recipes that I want to share with you.  The first is a Hawaiian Hot Dog Kabob. We adore this, especially when we want a different style of eating than a sandwich.  Another recipe we made is Midwest Loco Moco.  How we loved Loco Moco when we were in Hawaii!  We must have eaten this at least four times while we were there!  Check those recipes out if you want the taste of the islands!

I love using hot dogs as a base for creativity. There are so many fun things to do with them. Even though we had made a Hawaiian kabob, we wanted to try this wonderful glaze to coat the hot dog in.  Wait until you see how yummy this all looks!
