Make It Happen Challenge~January 2016

For our first Make It Happen Challenge in 2016, we were challenged to look at our blog stats to find our top five posts from 2015 and share them with our readers.  Looking at your blog stats to find out what your readers liked helps you to know what to post in the future, that is, if you are a blogger who makes money from your blog!  As a hobbyist blogger, I just like to fine out what my readers like to read!

I found it very interesting to see what posts were my top five and here they are, in no special order:

1.  The Top 10 Readiness Skills for Kindergarten.  I had such a good time writing this post.  As an elementary educator for 25 years, it was easy to write from an educator's perspective.  I had a blast knowing that what my experiences had taught me would help others.  That post was recognized by some of the top educators in the nation.

2.  This post on Radish Top Pesto did so well!  Interestingly, I don't care for radishes, well, that is, before I learned to roast them.  I think the novelty of the dish made people want to see how to make it.  I liked this pesto but it is certainly spicy!

3.  Roasted Banana and Walnut Bundt Cake got alot of attention for a cake!  I post a bundt cake monthly and this particular cake easily quadrupled the numbers for all my other bundts.

4.  I created this Tomato, Shrimp and Bleu Cheese Flatbread for a Sunday Supper post and it got a lot of press.  It was picked up by a couple of major bloggers and used in a lot of round ups.  It is a delicious and easy recipe.

and number 5.  I made this yummy wedge salad for Retro Food for Sunday Supper.  So good.  I am seeing it now in alot of restaurants these days.  I must have been on the edge of this salad making its comeback!

Such a fun post!  If you have a favorite post not represented here, let me know!  I'd love to hear about it!

The Make It Happen Blog Hop is going through some exciting changes in 2016, and we want you all to be a part of it! From February 2016 we will be hosting the Taste Creations Link Up! Each month, we will be choosing an ingredient, then your job is to create a dish or recipe incorporating that ingredient in some way. There are absolutely no rules on how you include it, so be as creative as you like! You can then add your blog post containing your Taste Creation to the linkup which will be at the bottom of the blog post!

The linkup will go live at 7pm (central US time) on the first Monday of every month and will be open for you to submit your recipes for 7 days. We will pick our favourites to feature the next month!

February’s ingredient is… Leeks!

Submission will be open from Monday 1st February at 7pm (CT) for 7 days. Come back here between those times to add your recipe! We can’t wait to see what you create!
