#asweetpairing

My husband and I are busy people.  He is the director of a college campus and teaches college course for the same college.  I am an educational consultant and teach college courses.  So when we both are home on the same night, it feels really nice and very special.






What we love to do together is catch up on favorite TV shows.  We are watching Season 7 of Mad Men right now and for this series we don't go ahead of one another.  Snuggling up on the sofa, with a bottle of Josh Cab and our now favorite treat makes it a special night for us.




What is this special treat?

Both of us continually watch our weight (hopefully going DOWN) so I wanted to find something that we could have that wouldn't blow our hard work.  That's when I thought about what I could do with our favorite treat, popcorn!

We buy these wonderful bags of prepopped corn from Aldi's that we love.  Lightly salted and tasty and doesn't create a mess for making it!  I knew that a lot of people liked to doctor up their popcorn so I decided to give this a try.




I opened a bag of the Aldi's prepopped corn and spread it on a cookie sheet.  I melted 4 squares of Ghirardelli chocolate with a tablespoon of coconut oil.  I drizzled the melted chocolate combo on the popcorn and let it harden.  I served the popcorn with the Josh wine... sigh.  So. delicious.  So decadent without being bad for us!

Love the combination, it became #asweetpairing for us and one that we can have as often as we want!
