Harvest Tour of Homes

I am so excited to be a part of Stringtown's Harvest Tour of Homes!  If you head over to Stringtown Homes you will see a huge line-up of homes ready to share their fall decor!  This is our second fall in our New Town at Saint Charles home and this year it was so fun to decorate.  I know my home's great spots and now our street is nearly completed with homes.  Halloween should be so much fun this year!

Stringtown Home

My husband lets me go all out for Christmas, so I try to keep it rather mellow for all the other events, even though fall is my all time favorite.  So each item I use must make a big impact.  For example, in my small living room, the banner is front and center.

The wreath on the inside of the door is there for a purpose.  Anything not completely anchored blows off our door.  I happen to like seeing the wreath myself!

I love the fall branches tucked into vases and the silk flowers.  They add a lot of color in this small space.

Even the TV adds some fall color!  I found the picture on Flickr which is available on my AppleTV.  Free decorating = cool factor!

Another way to get fall impact is to use color in your every day living.  These placemats are wonderful.  I like that they are my favorite team colors!  Black and Gold, GO TIGERS!

I snuck this adorable little pumpkin here.  The reds in the pumpkin work well with my red kitchen.

I keep my dining room very simple.  For one, it is small and really can't take a lot of decoration, plus this is a functional space, too.  In fact, I'm blogging at this table right now!

I love the pattern the sunlight and our blinds made on the table!

Another stroke of bliss!  The succulent bowl was an Aldi's special and all the glittery pumpkins and stems are from The Dollar Tree.  I love The Dollar Tree!

We couldn't leave the tour without a glimpse of the front porch.  This porch will change to Halloween in October and it is so much fun.  Come back in October for the Halloween Tour!

The bronze leaf mat was purchased at At Home.  It is flexible and so pretty.  The pillows are from Pillow Perfect and I won them in a contest!  I ordered the throws from Amazon last year.

That cute pumpkin with our initial on it is from At Home, too.  Another of the bronze mats sits on the table.

The scarecrow was from The Dollar Tree.  Scarecrows tend to fade so badly that I like getting inexpensive ones for outside.  He's a cutie!

I hope you enjoyed The Harvest Tour of Homes.  It was great fun to be included this year!
