Cranberry Butter #TasteCreations

Welcome to December's Taste Creations! We are sharing cranberry delights with you this month and I am eager to get started. I am sharing Cranberry Butter, which I am very excited about since it started with my homemade cranberry sauce.

To make my cranberry sauce, I boil a bag of cranberries with a cup of sugar and two tablespoons of water, and a pinch of salt, for 15 minutes. I love listening to cranberries pop, so this is one of my holiday pleasures!  The sauce will seem thin when you are finished but it thickens up when it cools. You can do some fancy stuff with it, like add 2 T brandy instead of the water, or 2 T orange juice.  Some people like cinnamon in theirs, and I know at least one person who puts salt and pepper in it. Mine is just the simple version.

Now to make the butter.
