Tablescape Thursday

Our first al fresco dining! It was so beautiful on Sunday that Bob and I decided to take our meal outside for the first time in 2009. Look at the beautiful tree across the street!

This lovely pitcher was given to me by my friends Karlene, Barb and Wendy when my dad passed away. Since Sunday was the second anniversary of his death, it was fitting to use it. We miss you dad.

The food was marvelous on beautifully simple black plates and wicker chargers. The black napkins added a flair of elegance even though we were eating outdoors!

  1. Hi Terri,

The first meal of the year outside! That's always such a great feeling cause you know many more are to come. Beautiful table setting and that pitcher is gorgeous! It looks handpainted.

  2. YAY! I made it to your blog!

The table looks quite lovely and I'm smitten with your pitcher. So pretty. It's wonderful that you have the gift of such wonderful friends. What a sweet reminder to think about their love and support from when you lost your dad.

    Beautiful table, Terri!

The pear tree is gorgeous. After the rain and wind, the other day, lots of blooms have disappeared from the trees here at the lake. When we were coming back from town, yesterday, we saw redbud and dogwood blooming in the park.

  16. I'm so glad that the day was pleasant enough to eat outside. I imagine that it was a treat. What a good idea it is to give a gift to someone who has suffered a loss. I've not heard of it before, but I'm really paying attention.
