Baked Roasted Garlic Burgers #bakingbloggers

With Halloween around the corner, and vampires appearing on porches all over the nation, I thought it was time to make these Baked Roasted Garlic Burgers and help keep them away!  These burgers bake in the oven so you can work on your favorite sides to go along with these burgers.

Baked Roasted Garlic Burgers

I love roasted garlic.  We used to have a terra cotta garlic baker (who remembers those???) but these days we simply cut the top off the garlic, place it on top of a piece of nonstick foil, top with butter and roast for 30 minutes at 400 degrees F.  The kitchen will have a wonderful garlicky scent.

For this recipe, let the garlic cool, and then remove it from the pod. Mince finely and set aside.  Watch the burgers, the thickness will determine how fast they cook.

ingredients:

1 pound ground beef
1 head of garlic, roasted, minced
1 T Worcestershire sauce
1 T chopped parsley
1 T melted butter, cooled
1/2 T chopped rosemary
4 slices mozzarella cheese
4 buns, split

instructions:

In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, minced roasted garlic, Worcestershire sauce, parsley, rosemary, and butter together.  Handle meat gently as to keep from getting tough.  Form into four patties. Line a baking sheet with nonstick foil and place the four patties about 4 inches apart on the foil.  Cver with another piece of foil.  Bake for 10 minutes at 375 degrees F or until desired temperature.  Remove top foil from burgers, add a slice of cheese to each burger and bake for an additional 2 minutes, or until cheese melts.
