Grown Up Snow Cream

We have had a lot of snow days and the kids are having so much fun with their snow days making snow cream. But why should kids have all the fun?  Here is an adult version of that delicious snow cream!

My mom used to make it for me and my sister.  She would set a clean bowl outside and let it catch the snow and when she had enough, she'd mix vanilla with milk and a little sugar and pour it over the snow. My sister and I would take turns stirring it.  We got to put chocolate syrup and sprinkles on it.  What a special treat!

As a grown-up, I miss those times.  So, in a whim, I concocted this cocktail using the ingredients (plus one or two) so my husband and I could enjoy a simple, childhood pleasure.

I'm not a fan of vodka, so as soon as we get snow, I'm going to try this with vanilla rum!
