Closet Make Over

Tracey at Beneath My Heart has reached out to blogdom to help us to help us organize our homes and hearts.  Each Monday she will focus on a variety of topics.  I was intrigued because I have a lot to organize!

This Monday we were treated to seeing Tracey redo her craft closet.  My craft closet was a complete mess and seeing her work motivated me to get mine done and I had a snow day to do it!   Here are my before and afters...

As you can see, there are good basic bones.  It is just a mess.  However, the mess is so large that it needed the dedication of one Miss Terri to get it done.  So the snow day was perfect.  First I emptied the room of trash, organized what was left and then cleaned up.  The whole job was just over 90 minutes.

Just a little time and elbow grease got this closet back to looking good.  Now I can have a good place to craft and scrapbook and generally create.  It has been over a year since this room has been available to me and now here it is again!  Life continues to get back to normal!

  1. I think it's just amazing how all the snow days for everyone has motivated the organization! Great job! {We have NO snow here in So.Cal. but I'm excited for you to have this opportunity!}. 3. Wow! That looks great!!!! I am so proud of you. :)
That was definitely worth the time you put into it. Just think of how much time you will save not having to search for things. Now you know exactly where everything is.
    I love it!

Thanks so much for joining my party!
    Blessings!

  5. Wow! Look what a good snow day can do! :) Your room looks cozy and organized......with the perfect little ME touches! LOVE your idea of using oil cloth to cover your table top AND act as way to hide what's beneath the table. I have SEVERAL pieces of that stuff and haven't used them....now I know one way I'll put them to work!

I cleaned up my craft room (it's huge....in the basement) before Christmas. It was a mess after all the months I'd spent down there making things to sell at local sales this fall.....anyway, I still take a double look at it when I walk into that area....it's really tidy and organized. Just wish i could keep it that way!

Have a great weekend! L, Dana

It looks wonderful Terri! I really need to dig into my closet...so sad. My youngest daughter has lost wt and needs clothes...maybe I can enlist her help;-). However, I just sort of committed to something else. Our painter friend just left. He's preparing a bid for a few rooms! Oh yes indeedy...changes at Jim and Pat's Casa, this winter.

You asked about the sharpening on the pictures. I love the sharpening tool in Photoscape. I used that. Clicked 2. I sometimes hit bloom, then sharpen for a different look.
