Kitchen Organization

We are all becoming more organized at Beneath My Heart!  This week we are focusing on the kitchen.  I am sorry, though, in this case you won't see any "before" photos because I am just tooooooo embarrassed.  However, let me tell you that this is a big improvement!

We really made a mess of the pantry right around Christmas.  With all the extra baking ingredients, we weren't as neat as we usually try to be.  So this pantry is showing as it usually is.  Truly.

We have now labeled the jars with cute chalkboard paper labels and that is really nice.  I use chalkboard markers as they make a neater, more permanent line, even though it can be washed off with plain water.

All the kitchen cabinets are cleaned and organized on top, the bottom ones still need some work.  We took everything off the top of the cabinets and redecorated (with Ashley's help!) and we installed a new white microwave (now three of the four appliances are white!).

I love the feeling of a newly organized kitchen.  Bob does too!  He's made me promise not to get any more gadgets.  Oh, dear.

Your pantry looks great! I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy mine.
Thanks for linking to my party.

  4. No more gadgets? I am so into gadgets in the kitchen, some I use and some I don't.

Love the chalkboard, too! Wish I had room for one.

  8. I love my pantry (didn't have one at our old house), but I have been very bad about keeping it tidy over the last few months. I need to get with it and organize it like YOU and Bob did! I love the glass containers you have for your flour, etc, too, and your chalk board! What a great place to put one!

We were supposed to get snow last night...but we didn't! It went north. I'm really ready for it to STOP now. :) I know the snow days off school were awesome..I used to pray for them when I was a teacher.

Have a great Sunday! L, Dana
