Cranberry White Chocolate Bark with Sea Salt

I think white chocolate and cranberries go together like milk and cookies. Individually they are both wonderful but together they are magical!  So make this white chocolate cranberry bark, like now.  The addition of sea salt tempers the sweetness of the chocolate and enhances the flavors, all at the same time!

White chocolate can be a bit finicky to work with. Pay attention to the time you microwave it. 20-second intervals are the perfect time length and don't melt it until it is smooth. You should still see the shape of the chips when you are done heating it. Stir it to take to the ultimate smoothness stage.

I love giving this as a Christmas gift, or take to a Thanksgiving dinner. It is a little bit of sweet that will tide you over until your stomach says you can fit in a piece of pumpkin pie!

Sea salt enhances the flavor of this bark in addition to cutting through the sweetness. It makes a pretty presentation, too!

How to cook Cranberry White Chocolate Bark with Sea Salt

  1. Prepare a sheet pan with waxed paper or nonstick foil.
  2. Chop cranberries.
  3. Melt the chips in 20 second intervals. Stir.  Repeat until the chocolate still shows the shape of the chips. Stir until smooth.
  4. Pour on top of the waxed paper (or foil. Make sure the nonstick side is facing up)
  5. Sprinkle on cranberries.
  6. Using a salt grater, grate the sea salt on top of the bark.

  8. Break into pieces.

NOTES:

The candy needs to sit about 30 minutes which isn't reflected in the cooking time.

Yum. This sounds delicious. Im imagining the tartness of the cranberries and the sweetness from the white chocolate now. I'll have to try this. Growing up we used to make Almond Bark. FYI, if you have an Aldi in your area, dried cranberries are cheap there.
