Cheese Ball Turkey

This month on Taste Creations we are featuring appetizers. I am all about easy and fun, so when I saw this cheese ball dressed up like a Thanksgiving turkey, I couldn't resist!

This is very easy and is perfect for a kids' table. Use simple cheeseball recipes, without a lot of nuts or add-ins and the kids love it!

For adults, I like to use a more sophisticated cheeseball recipe like this Swiss Almond cheeseball. You can also use a storebought cheeseball too, like this port wine one. The color is perfect for a turkey cheeseball, don't you think?

Here's what you need for the cheeseball.

1 premade cheeseball
15 pretzel sticks
1 pretzel rod, or a short piece of one
2 candy eyes
1 piece of candy corn
1/4 t icing

Remove cheese ball from the refrigerator. Let rest for one minute.  Starting in the center put in the first pretzel stick in the direct center, toward the back 1/3 of the cheeseball.  Insert the rest of the pretzel sticks in a fan shape to resemble the turkey's fan.  Using the icing as glue, stick on the eyes and the candy corn, point side down, to make a face.  Insert the rod into the front 1/3 of the cheese ball. Cover lightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate until needed.
