Frozen Chocolate Treat

I saw this recipe when I was blog hopping and I am sorry to say I didn't mark it well so I can't give credit where credit is due.  If you recognize this recipe as coming from your blog, please tell me and I will edit this post! Thank you Kat, for solving the mystery!  I found them here:  Gracious Southern Living

I made this recipe as I was looking for an ice cream substitute.  The portion controlled Weight Watcher treats can get expensive.  This recipe was modified to the ingredients I had on hand... originally the Chocolate Dream was peanut butter.

1 container of Cool Whip Free
6 T of Chocolate Dream

Thaw the Cool Whip in the refrig overnight.  Microwave the Chocolate Dream for about 10 seconds, just enough to soften the product.  Stir the two together, gently, until all the ingredients are incorporated.  Line a cupcake pan with paper liners.  Fill the liners 1/2 way (I used my large Pampered Chef scoop!) and place in the freezer.   Freeze until solid.  Drizzle with sugar free Hershey's before eating.

These were yummy!  The total cost of the whole recipe was approximately $3.00.  Divided by the 12 servings it makes is just 25 cents each!!  If you are on Weight Watchers, each treat is about 2 points, according to the WW calculator.

  1. I think I saw this over at Judy's (http://gracioussouthernliving.blogspot.com/) or at least something similar.

I've never seen Chocolate Dream. Hmmmm...wonder if my grocery store carries it? I'll look.

  2. I have never seen Chocolate Dream either. Is it like chocolate syrup...I'd love to make this as I have a couple of containers of frozen Cool Whip.
And with only 2 WW points, I'd really love it for dessert!

Love you new blog look! :-)
