Welcome the holidays with this beautiful and delicious Cranberry Christmas Kiss Cocktail! It is so pretty served in a martini glass, and garnished with cranberries and a sprig of rosemary!
So easy to make as all the ingredients go in all at one time. Shake with ice and pour into the glass and there you go. Wait for the oos and ahhhs.
Some folks serve this in what is called a Nick and Nora glass. It is another type of stemmed glass. This cocktail is considered to be served "up" meaning you do not add ice to the glass. The name comes from a movie made in the 30s called The Thin Man. I love a good throwback story!

ReplyDeleteWait, I thought drinks without ice are called "neat"?! I'll take this cocktail either way! LOL.
ReplyDeleteDrinks shaken with ice to cool them, then strained, and served without ice, are "up." You are correct as well, but the drinks are served at room temperature.
DeleteI've never had a cocktail but they always look so pretty. I love the festive colors and flavors incorporated.
