Updating Your Bathroom

Our bathrooms get a tremendous amount of use. We’re in and out of them all day. Keeping ourselves clean and performing the necessary ablutions, but also chilling out in a long hot bubble bath at the end of a long day or an invigorating shower after a tough gym session. Traffic to a family bathroom can be high, and they require a detailed and thorough cleaning to stay hygienic.

We want our bathrooms to look and smell great. We want to feel comfortable and happy, as well as clean, and it would be great to be able to think of our bathrooms as a home spa when we need a break from it all. You’ll also want to feel proud of your bathroom when guests are round, and you certainly don’t want to have to worry about other people using it. But, with all of this use, it’s no wonder that they can quickly become dirty, tired and old. Here are some ideas for updating your bathroom.

Updating your bathroom can breathe new life into your home, and one of the most striking changes you can make is installing a sleek glassdoor for shower. This modern addition not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of your bathroom but also creates a sense of openness and spaciousness. With a glass door, natural light can flow freely, making the space feel brighter and more inviting.

Invest in a New Shower

Your shower is a prominent feature in the room. It takes up a lot of space, whether it’s stand-alone or over the bath. The shower curtain or doors are often one of the first things that people notice when they walk into the room. But, bathrooms are hot and humid, as well as frequently used, and our showers can quickly become dirty, moldy and even smelly.

Replace your shower if it needs it, or just consider adding glass shower doors or a new shower curtain to give the room a quick refresh.
Add New Tiles

Tiles in the bathroom make an impression. They get noticed, and they stand out. They might make up quite a large part of your room. They are also easy to replace. Whether you’ve got tiles around the sink and shower, or most of your room is tiles, replacing them has a big impact. The grouting will be clean and new, and it’s a fantastic way to add some color.

If you’ve got tiles, or Lino on the floor, adding peel and stick tiles are a cheap and easy way to change the room.

Focus on the Tub

Your tub should be the main focus of your room. Having a bathtub that grabs attention helps to turn your practical home bathroom into a luxurious home spa. A stand-alone tub can look amazing if you’ve got space. But even a smaller, fitted tub can look great with a bit of TLC.
Add Some Seating

What do fancy spas and hotel bathrooms have that yours doesn’t? Seating might be one thing. Adding a chair to your bathroom gives you extra storage, somewhere to drape towels, and even something to put your iPad on so you can watch Netflix in the bath.
Consider Extra Storage

Your bathroom will never look great if it’s cluttered, dusty and untidy. Adding more storage, perhaps a set of shelves or a large cabinet can make it look much fresher.
Use Plants to Brighten the Space

Not all plants survive well in a damp and warm room, but those that do look fantastic. Adding plants to your bathroom can brighten the space, improve the quality of the air and improve your mood. Look at the best plants for a bathroom, or consider faking it.
