Ramos Gin Fizz

This frothy and creamy cocktail calls for vigorous shaking which takes a lot of time and muscle. I have found another way, not so labor-intensive, to make this delicious New Orlean cocktail!

The drink was first concocted by Henry Ramos at his New Orleans' bar, The Meyers Table D'Hotel Internationale back in 1888.  The cocktail was so popular that Ramos had to hire "shaker boys" to meet the high demands for the drink.

Mardi Gras is a wonderful time to make and enjoy this drink, and with my little trick, found in the recipe below, with little time and effort!  See the other fabulous Mardi Gras drinks and foods from my blogger friends below to make your Mardi Gras extra special!

  7. We used to live in Louisiana so I am no stranger to the types of drinks they have during Mardi Gras. I will be honest though my husband and myself are not drinkers. So I have never tried any of the Mardi Gras drinks. This one does sound different. I love your tip to make it easier.
