My Mom's Potato Soup.

This is the potato soup I grew up with.  The hot broth is made with whole milk and poached onion.  Delicious dumplings are added to the hot broth at the last minute.  It's even better the next day!  My mom loves it cold, but I love it warm with buttered toast.
