3 Major Cities to Visit on the East Coast

The East Coast of America is one of the marvelous places to visit on your next holiday vacation. You're not ready for all the fun on this East Coast, whether you want to go shopping, visiting museums, skiing, eating, kayaking and so much more. I promise you that there is a lot to see!

But there are 3 major cities that should be on anyone's itinerary when visiting the East Coast and they are: Boston, New York City, and Washington D.C. Not only are these 3 cities gorgeous, full of rich history and wonderful things to see, but also, they are all connected to one another by the Northeast corridor, making it even easier to tour all the three during your trip.

Let’s dig deeper into the 3 cities:

Boston

Boston is a must-visit for it offers so much more, including its pivotal role in United States history. In Boston, you will find beautiful parks, great shopping places, historic attractions and the best museums you can visit in the country. The main benefit of visiting Boston is that you can visit some places without spending any money, like the active Faneuil Hall Marketplace and the beautiful Boston Public Garden.

Begin your tour at the Freedom Trail, which will give you the leads to landmarks like the Boston Common and Paul Revere House and it stretches past 16 historic sites in Boston, including the Old North Church. It's always easy to navigate through them and it can only take you half a day with some comfortable shoes. However, you do not have to visit all these places, but you can do your research before the beginning of your journey to find out the most recommended places by other tourists who have visited the city before you. Make sure to visit Fenway Park to catch a game if you're a baseball lover. You cannot finish your tour without visiting the Museum of Fine Arts, where you can discover Boston’s artsy side and its sense of fashion along the chic Newbury Street.

New York

You might live in New York for many years and never experience all the stunning places and things to do in the city because it is so extensive and diverse. Determining where to start your tour in this city is a daunting challenging task. But with a New York travel guide in hand, you can figure out where you want to visit the city and map out your itinerary. Don’t miss out on visiting the icons of New York, like the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building, Times Square, Wall Street and so much more!

If you love to visit museums, NYC will not disappoint: From museums such as the Whitney Museum of American Art and the 9/11 Memorial and Museum to parks, including the Central Park and the Washington Square Park, you will have ample choice. Washington Square Park is a common place of gathering, even amongst the locals, where you will get entertained by musicians, and performers and have a chance to watch career chess players, sunbathe on the grass, go for a stroll and so much more.

The Parks offer so much, including sprawling meadows for going for picnics, playgrounds, carousels, tennis and basketball courts, and zoos. Along the Central Parkway, you will find sculptures, arches, bridges, fountains, and monuments.

Washington, D.C.

In Washington D.C, you can visit traditional attractions such as the Smithsonian museums, which attract thousands of people every year who come to see the trove of celebrated aircraft, the monuments, and the United States Capitol. You can spend days visiting the contemporary exhibits and the city's stock of farmers' markets.

From there, explore the Washington Monument, and Lincoln Memorial, not forgetting the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. It is recommended you visit the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts because it is named and built for the beloved Camelot president of America. It also houses the Washington National Opera, Suzanne Farrell Ballet, and many musical performances and theaters that keep visitors entertained throughout the year.

If you visit Washington D.C. in April, you will have the chance the magnificent wandering at the Tidal Basin where you will get to see gorgeous pink cherry blossoms in full bloom. Don't leave the city before tasting its fresh foods and experiencing its vibrant night scene.

Have you ever visited any of these three cities? If so, which one and what did you like most about it?
