Pre Birthday Jitters

Ok, this is not rational but hey, I am a mental pausal woman, so that is a part of the package, right?

Tomorrow is my 49th birthday. Only one more year in my 40s. Birthdays do not bother me on the most part but at the same time, this one is making me think about things I am not sure I want to think about.

So, what I need from you all is all the reasons I want to head quietly into my 50s. Can you help me??

  1. Because it's better than the only other alternative!!

Beacause you are one wonderful lady and you will gracefully go into your 50th year with a smile and your head held high just as you do everything my friend.

  3. Ooooh I'm so glad you told me it's your birthday tomorrow...I didn't have that written down!!! hehe Having just turned 50 last month, I can understand how you're feeling...the weeks and days leading to my birthday I felt a bit down because I was going to be turning 50...but you know, I don't feel any different at all:-) I've been told 50 is the new 40 so live it up and enjoy!! xox

  4. Oh ,I hope that you can enjoy your birthday. I have determined that it is so much more fun to have a birthday when I let myself enjoy and embrace it!
    Do you have special plans?
49 is very, very young!!!! Just old enough to be able to speak with authority but way, way too young to live in a retirement community...HA!
    Enjoy!
If you'll email me your address I have something to send you for your birthday.

  6. I think Julie's answer is classic and great! I turned 50 last year and it's no big deal really. I woke up on the big day and decided I didn't feel any different from the day before so I decided to get up and enjoy. Didn't you hear that 50 is the new 30? LOL Happy Birthday!

  9. Take it from a 51 year old...it just gets better in so many ways. I like myself and am more accepting of who I am now. That was never true when I was younger. I tale life easier and enjoy the little things more now. And yup, it IS better than the alternative! Bring on the BDs!!

Besides, you will ease into your 50s with style, grace and a warm sense of humor. You are a great lady!

    Hugs,
    Sue
