As I plan a trip to Alaska in July, I have strugged in figuring out what I should be packing and the this post landed in my inbox. What great timing. Here are some other tips I have learned:
Three Additional Tips (Not Mentioned in the Post)
- Wear moisture-wicking socks and broken-in shoes. You'll likely be on your feet for hours, and comfortable footwear with moisture-wicking socks can help prevent blisters and keep your feet dry throughout the festival.
- Pack a portable phone charger. Between taking photos, checking the festival app, and coordinating with friends, your phone battery can drain quickly. A lightweight power bank ensures you'll have enough charge to capture memories and find your way around the park.
- Bring a reusable water bottle or hydration pack. Staying hydrated is essential during a full day outdoors. Check the festival's current policies for approved refillable bottles and hydration packs so you can take advantage of free water refill stations and avoid purchasing bottled water throughout the day.
